Not sure what to say?

Only three years, and but it seems much, much longer since Brian, with his cheering smile and wise ideas, was here for us.

Brian introduced me to fly fishing and we traveled far and wide to fish. Kind of amazing for two people who grew up in thebig cities of the eastern US.....

Brian has been on my mind lately, my having just finished and enjoyed a book he gifted me re: our mutual interest in military history: The Bomber Mafia, which profiles among others,General Curtis Lemay. Brian and I also shared interests in the shooting sports. I miss him very much

Brian's generosity of spirit, kindness and sense of humor will be sorely missed. Farewell, my friend.

Still tough, even after so much time has passed.....

I am so sorry to have learned of Brian's passing a full year after the fact .It was my pleasure to have been his dentist for many years until my own retirement 18 months ago. Even through the diagnosis of his illness his wonderful sense of humor never waivered. We joyfully shared hobby intetests and MANY LAUGHS! Rest in peace my friend, Curtis Barmby DDS

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Brian was a great scientist and a good friend. I knew and associated with him from the time I was in graduate school and he was at Bell Labs through to the time he retired from LBNL. He will be missed and remembered.

Brian was a brilliant scientist, a friend to many
