Obituary
Brian Erik Konczak, 12, of Duluth died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the son of Jackie and Larry Lane and Steve Oppel. Brian was born March 3, 1992 in Duluth. He was a student in the 7th grade at Morgan Park Middle School. Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing and after school sports. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bernard Konczak; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Betty Oppel; and Larry and Betty Lane; uncle, Dale Konczak; and aunt, Nancy Johanson. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jackie and Larry Lane; father, Steve Oppel; sisters, Jessica Oppel, Christine Oppel, Melissa, Heather and April Lane, all of Duluth; brother, Danny (Nicole) Lane of Staples, Minn.; maternal grandparents, Nancy and Bob Epps of Duluth, Minn.; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Oppel of Duluth; many uncles, aunts, cousins and his best friend, Alex Eskola. FUNERAL SERVICE:10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 in First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4100 Grand Avenue in Duluth. Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in First Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth. Services entrusted to First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 218-624-5050.

Brian its now been 2 long years without you here with us at home. We miss you more and more everyday. The things that we could of done with you in the past 2 years.
