Brian Alexander Kron

Brian Alexander Kron, of Charlottesville, died Tuesday, July 28, 2010, while home visiting family and friends.

He was born March 11, 1988, in Charlottesville, to Irving and Debra Kron.

He graduated from St. Anne's-Belfield School, and was attending college at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Brian loved fly fishing in Virginia and Colorado, bluegrass music, the Green Bay Packers, and his family dogs, "Cassie", "Iko", and "Lucca". Above all, he had a limitless enthusiasm for life, was unfailingly loyal to his friends, and deeply loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his siblings, Adam, Jason, and Kristen; his grandmother, Marilyn Nettesheim; his grandfather, David Kron; and a number of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Nettesheim; his grandmother, Bella Kron; and his cousin, Caroline Richter.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church on Park Street.

A private interment service will be conducted that morning at Monticello Memory Gardens.

A memorial service, in Boulder, will be scheduled for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions please be made to: Brian Kron Fund, VNB Trust, P.O. Box 1247, Charlottesville, VA 22902.

All contributions will be donated to non-profit environmental organizations in Virginia.

When I think about you, I can only picture the light of your spirit. You were a great person, and although your material existence will be missed, you are still here with me.

Irv, I had hoped to see you at a meeting or other event to express my condolences. October 5, we observed the 6th year anniversary of the loss of my oldest son, Jim, Jr. and from that expereince I am certain that no words can express the loss you and your family have sufferred.
