During one visit he picked up my guitar (I was a teenager having lessons at school), tuned it, then began to play, there in our little living room, it was magical, this is how we discovered he had played with the Shadows!. I'm so sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I'm sorry it's late but I've only just heard.
I had the honour and privilege of having having Brian play at my wedding in '94.
My condolences, prayers and best wishes to his family at this time.

I met Brian for a short interview in Paris on 1st February this year. I had questions about the Spring of 1962 (!) and he was most helpful in trying to fill the gaps of my article. Although he had a busy weekend ahead, he found time to receive me and talk for longer than planned. This may not be much, but I somehow feel this typifies him. Eddy Bonte, Belgium (music writer)

I never met Brian. But,as a Shadow in the early 60's his music was a big influence in me taking up guitar & bass & I learned a lot listening to his tasteful playing. As a result I've had a lovely life as a professional musician,so - thanks Brian,I owe you a lot. Tony Renney,Workington,Cumbria.
