Not sure what to say?

Mr McGarry was my 6th grade teacher back in 1996. I often think about all the fun things he did with us. He didn´t do anything boring or traditional. He used his camera equipment, his life experiences and stories, and he participated in our lives just as much as he taught us. I was lucky to have known him and looking back, I am who I am for the time he was my teacher. I know he believed in goodness and learning. I am sorry I never reconnected, and am deeply saddened this world has lost...

My deepest condolences to the McGarry family. Brian and I taught 6th grade together at Duanesburg Elementary and I will never forget his enthusiasm, and his skill for empowering his students to become successful citizens and life long learners. May his smiles and memories heal your heart and be an inspiration to you every day. God bless.

Patty and family, I cannot imagine your sense of loss. Brian was one of my oldest friends and we spent many happy times together on the field, with our friends, the parties we organized, living at Aunt Connie´s, of course sharing laughs, tears and a few beers, too. Brian was a genuine, kind and compassionate man who lived his life with such integrity. I don´t know that I have known anyone who touched so many and had so much fun. We´ll done, Muggy! AKA "Buzz" Damfino.

Brian was my inspiration in the fight. I called him the Irish warrior as he always encouraged me in my own battle. Thank you to Patty, Brian and family who were always so generous. He was a rock of stability and a source of strength for his family, friends, students, the community and those whose lives he had touched. May your memories comfort you at this difficult time. May God bless you all! Soar high my friend!
