Not sure what to say?

Kathy, We haven't had contact for many years. Today I was thinking of you so I decided to Google very surprised by what I found. Not only the passing of your mom but your husband too. I'm so sorry that I had to find you this way.
You seem to be surrounded by some wonderful people who loved you and Brian very much.
You were my first friend and I am truly sorry for loss.

Kathy, I'm so sorry about Brian. I just heard he had passed away. I wish I had something to say that could ease your pain.
