Remembering Brian J. McMahon
Brian J. McMahon, 77, of Brick, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18th. Born on April 11th, 1948, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the beloved son of Madeline McMahon and James J. McMahon.
Brian was a kind, loving, and generous soul who deeply cherished his children and grandchildren. He had an adventurous spirit, a deep love for travel, and a keen eye for photography and technology. Brian dedicated many years to a distinguished career with NAWCAD Lakehurst, serving first as a photographer and later as a technician for the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Department. His heart was always with the deaf community; he was an alumnus of the New York School for the Deaf and the Rochester Institute of Technology, and he found immense joy and camaraderie in the Ocean County Deaf Senior Citizens Club and the friendships he forged there.
He leaves behind his devoted children, Jessica McMahon and James McMahon, along with his adored grandchildren: Juliana Doran, Sebastian Rivera, Oliver McMahon, Finnegan McMahon, and Leilani McMahon.
A remembrance service will be held at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home in Brick, NJ, on Saturday, September 27th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Brian J. McMahon’s memory to one or more of the many charities he steadfastly supported throughout his life: Three Angels’ Deaf Ministries, Boy’s Town, the American Red Cross, the National Association of the Deaf, and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
