Not sure what to say?

I was one of Brian's classmates at Coe College in the early '80s, and came across the notice of his passing just yesterday. Though I had not spoken with him for many years, I remember the many good times from our college days. Brian was a true friend with an infectious smile and laugh--just a great guy. I extend condolences to his family for the loss of this special person.

My sympathy for your son Brian

Brian was like a brother to me, he was kind and fun to be with, we as kids growing up with the Metz family. Brian will never be forgotten, especially cheese steaks and stinson beach near San Francisco. He was a friend and a brother that will be missed very much by me and my family. Brian is very special to all of us. Much Love to the Metz family always. Julie K Harris

What a wonderful man, he will truly be missed, to the family you are in my prayers.

As a school meet and greet activity one afternoon at Park Lakes Elementary where Brian worked in FL, we were asked to go to sections of the room that were designated for the region of the United States and other countries surrounding us to show where our roots were from. I was surprised to see, that when the midwest area was assigned, it was only Brian and me who were from IL. It was the start of what made me feel welcome at a new school. He frequently would stop just to chat and talk about...

To the family,

Brian was a great teacher and he will truly be missed at Park Lakes. One of my most foundest memories that I have of Brian is when I would panic about deadlines or think the world is coming to an end and get all excited, Brian would just smile like it's a piece of cake. Brian never worried about a thing. So Please remember the smile he wore and feel blessed that you had the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful man like Brian's life.

I am so sorry for your loss. Brian will be missed very much. Brian was a great teacher and I always enjoyed his cheerful way in school. I miss him dearly.

My deepest sympathy to the the Metz family.

Brian was a dear friend who always kind and thoughtfull to everyone.
His kindness and friendship will remain with me always.

To the entire Metz family -

We are so saddened to hear of Brian's passing. You are all in our prayers. We know that you will find comfort in the good memories of Brian, and that the strength of your family will see you through this very difficult time.

Much Love to you all
