Not sure what to say?

Late, I know, but I feel compelled to write that Brian Monahan was a hero to me. As a new lawyer over 30 years ago, I would make my way down to the courthouse, and I watched and learned from this master of the art of trial. I will always remember his command over the courtroom, and also his green ink "lucky Irish" pens! He has always been and will continue to be an inspiration to me, and an example of true excellence. Sincerely, Lori Mendez

Served with Brian aboard USS AGERHOLM DD-826: Rest in peace shipmate!

Every so often I would check to see
how Brian was doing and today I was so sorry to learn of Brian’s passing. I always remembered him as such a good guy. He and friends bought an old hearse to travel back and forth to Annapolis during the school year and he showed up at my work to show me. He was fun and smart and a truly caring guy. It looks like he made his mark on this earth and God bless his soul in heaven. I am sorry for your loss.

Brian was the first attorney I ever worked for. I'll never forget the job interview for legal secretary when he asked such unique questions, such as "What would you like written on your tombstone?" I do believe my answer was what made him decide to hire me. I said, "To be continued." Thank you, Brian, for everything! Love, Tawnya Ison

You were just a terrific guy, Brian, in so many ways. You will indeed be missed. Requiescat in pace.

What a wonderful, gifted, comical, man and friend! I worked with them at Luce, Forward, and my very first puppy was from his dog’s litter! Of course in honor of Brian, I named my puppy O’Hara, such a great Irish name! Brian was a very special person who will be sorely missed by all of us who were fortunate to know him. Fondly, Michelle Taylor

Brian could surely spin a tale!! He was a giant in the San Diego legal community. Glad to hear he was active and loved to the end. RIP, Brian.
