Here it is almost 40 years since his incredible fight against Felix the Superstar Santiago at Gleason`s in Brooklyn. As an executive of the WBC,I´ve attended the biggest fights with the biggest stars in boxing of my era, but I will never forget the incredible heart and guts both men showed in that fight that night in New York. This gentleman continues, in my mem, to have exhibited the courage of any world champion, and I salute him. God bless and thank you.
