Not sure what to say?

Every morning at Worcester Academy, walking in line for breakfast, Brian greeted me warmly with his radiant smile and good-will. He was a blessed being. Brian, from my heart, I salute you, and thank you for your great good will and greetings.

truely a blessing to have known you. the school commitee sure could use your guidence now. Hope you can look down here and push them in the right direction...Thanks

I met Brian as a first year law student at Harvard Law School, and will always remember his kind and gentle manner and his longish floppy hair that he was always brushing out of his eyes. The hair appears to be long gone, but his kind and gentle manner obviously lived on. So did his strong faith and his love for Worchester, which he shared with me on a weekend visit to his parents' lodgings at Worchester Academy. Enjoy your well-earned rest, Brian; we'll meet again!

Brian was so vibrant that it is hard to believe is gone. He was very smart, kind, and generous to others. I remember visiting him at his Lake Spencer house in one afternoon. On that day, he had already hiked and written a book review for publication. Yet, he was relaxed and ready to give his visitors his full attention. Needless to say, he beat everyone when we played games, though he was not competitive. He was a true Renaissance man who knew a lot about practically everything, but never...

I was saddened to hear about Brian's passing. While employed at the Massachusetts Association of School Committees, I had the opportunity to work with Brian for many years. He was a dedicated Board member. His integrity, professionalism and devotion to public education was to be admired. My sincere sympathy to the family and friends.

Worcester has indeed lost a staunch supporter of education and a genuine human being. I taught at the Worcester Adult Learning Center for 40 years and Brian was always there being a committed supporter. He was always at our graduations giving our students encouragement and respect they deserved. I will always remember his smile and caring . handshake. I hope the people involved with education will take up his cause of good, relevant education for all. I just recently moved to Portland OR...

My sympathy to Brian's relatives, colleagues, and friends. I have known Brian many years through the Anna Maria College Board of Trustees. Brian's Board participation was treasured. His personal and professional experience were shared in all possible ways. I shall ever remember Brian for his wisdom, his valuable insights, and his deep Christian life. With heartfelt sympathy, Sister Yvette Bellerose, SSA

My condolences about Brian. He was a good friend at Holy Cross and with MASC, where I served on the Board with him. Last Saturday, I was at the Homecoming at HC and many alumni also expressed their condolences. He will be missed.

Brian was my cousin and although I moved out of New England over 40 years ago I do remember him from my youth when I would see him at family events such as the annual Bergin Christmas party. He would also on occasion come over to visit us and spend the afternoon with us. My recollection of Brian as a youth is many of the same qualities that many have mentioned in their tributes to him. He was kind, thoughtful, smart, always interested in what you had to say and of course always welcomed you...
