Brian R. Price, 74, of Washington Twp., PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 14th, at his residence. 


Brian was born in Pen Argyl, PA on August 28, 1950, a son of the late Edwin L. and Joyce (Golden) Price. He was the husband of Anita (Dotta) Price, with whom he shared a 48-year relationship. 


Brian attended Bangor High School and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps., surviving the war in Vietnam.  Leaving the service as a Lance Corporal, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Rifle Marksman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, the Vietnam Service Medal, and his high school diploma.


Brian was last employed as a salesperson at the former Dotta Auto Sales in Pen Argyl, PA until he received a military disability due to various health issues caused by his exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. Prior to that, Brian's working career covered time as a technician at the former Bangor Gas Company (now UGI), and as a heavy equipment operator for the former Grand Central Sanitation (now Waste Management).


Brian was happiest when playing his music, working in his garden around his property, talking to his family and friends about many issues and subjects, cooking up his favorite foods, and sitting in his recliner watching TV with his dog in his lap. You never left Brian's and Anita's without a full belly or a "to-go" container. He also enjoyed bowling and bowled a score of 300 in tenth grade when he was a member of the bowling club.


He was of the Lutheran faith. 


In addition to his wife Anita, Brian is survived by two sisters, Sherry Lewis Stecker, wife of Alan, of Palmer Twp., PA; and Beatta Cimo, of Myrtle Beach, SC, three nieces Kirsten (Lewis) Esposito, wife of Scott, of Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., PA, Megan (Lewis) Conaty, wife of Brian, of Wilmington, DE, and Marisa (Lewis) Helfrich, wife of Corey, of Washington Twp., PA, two nephews Chad Cimo, husband of Kate, of Phoenixville, PA, and Ryan Cimo of Orchard Park, NY, great-nieces and nephews McKenna, Logan, and William Esposito, Cian Conaty, Alex and Audrey Cimo, and Zoe and Henry Cimo, a great-great niece Elise Hilbert, and two great-great nephews Lane Hilbert and Holden Zabrecky. Other Survivors, along with his wife's large family which includes Brothers-in-Law Robert Dotta, husband of Rosemary, John Dotta, and James Dotta, husband of Brenda, all of Washington Twp., PA, and Sister in  Law Betty Kemmerer, wife of Larry, of Bath, PA, and their children and grandchildren. Brian was predeceased by two brother-in-laws Bill Lewis and Anthony Cimo, and a sister-in-law Colleen Dotta.


A Memorial Service will be on Sunday, April 13th at 1 PM at the Washington Banquet Facility, 920 Washington Blvd., Bangor, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.

I went to elementary school with Brian at East Bangor. We had Mrs. Davy as a teacher in second grade. I was given the job as fire drill leader to lead the class out of the building when the alarm went off, which I did, except I led them out the front of the school when I was supposed to lead them out the back to the playground. Mrs. Davy was running all over the playground yelling, "Where´s my class? Where´s my class?" I managed to get the class turned around and headed back to the...
