Not sure what to say?

I shared an office with Brian at Qualcomm in the months before his diagnosis. I'll never forget the day he told me he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This to him was just another challenge to overcome and he was so positive about the care he was getting and his prospects. It's not surprise to me that he mounted such a successful fight against such a vicious disease. I'm grateful for the time I got to share with him. I never met his wife or children but I feel like I know them because of how...

So blessed to have a friend like Brian. Love you buddy

Words can not express the grief that I share with Brian's family. Many mornings as we passed the house where Brian valliantly fought his cancer, I offered a blessing and prayer for him. May God's perpetual light shine upon you "good and faithful servant."

Dearest Brian,

How very odd that we love you so very much and we think we've only met in person at your dad's celebration? (And then, it was a day when everyone seemed to look like Arthur!)
We were with your mom and Steph the morning they got the call about your cancer...And it was so very hard to watch and not be able to do one thing!

Since that time (almost 2 years), your mom continually tells us that you are a joy and Steph... ALWAYS says "what a gem!!!" "He's just.... a...

I first met Brian, aka "P man", as a teammate on the 1975 Mesa College baseball team. He was dubbed P man because he wore to practice every day this worn out little league cap with a P on it. He had the most positive energy of anyone I have ever met. A super energetic guy. He would run 5 miles in the early morning before getting on the bus for a Sat doubleheader in LA, for example.

Then it turns out my oldest son Chad was friends with both Sophie and Seth in Poway, and Brian also...

He was what a good person should be. 73 C.I.F Champion.

The day we became friends for life; 1973 title game against Hoover High. I was called to pinch hit for Brian late, when the game was well at hand, and our Pointer fans greeted me with "We want Silano, We want Silano!... I proceeded to fly out to left on a big fat hanging curve ball. I went to Brian on the bench and apologized. He responded, with his natural smile, "That's okay!"
That's Brian

Everything!!!

I don't think I've ever met a warmer more loving and fun family than the Sillano family. Brian, Sue, Sophie and Seth were a part of our everyday smiles for years. I have no words to express my grief and sense of loss at such a bright star of love and kindness no longer with us here.
