I served in Korea with Brian, even after all these years you don’t forget. Whether yoga in the bomb suit or green sweat pants, we remember.

I was with SSG Studer when he was killed in action. Its a day that I will never forget. SSG Studer was the bravest man I had ever met. He was confident and inspired others. I remember something he said the day before his death. He told my LT with a few of us in the room that No matter what happens you just have to keep going. I always remembered that and those words kept me going through the deployment. You should be proud of all that he was. I will forever be inspired by SSG Brian Studer.

I went through EOD school and served with Bryan in ROK. Loved that guy, blew up a lot of stuff with him. Favorite memory was whenever I tried taking his photo he wanted to cover his face with his hand. Deep fried a great turkey on holidays. RIP brother.

I didn't know SSG Studer very well but he did make a lasting impression on me. I first met Brian in Sharana, Afghanistan in 2008. He was the charismatic team leader of the EOD team that was assigned to support my platoon during a crater repair mission of paramount importance.
Sadly, Brian was killed during the first day of our mission, while attempting to disarm an IED that was located by the route clearance platoon, also assigned to the mission. SSG Studer was the type of...
