Not sure what to say?

I was sad to hear of Brian's passing. I knew Brian when he was in high school as his parents took my husband into their family when he was in the Air Force and a friend of the boys, so naturally, they adopted me also when Les and I were married. They were a wonderful family. Frances Akerley Harton

To the Willett family, I am very sad to hear of Brian's passing. He was a legendary sports reporter and writer for the Bulletin.

To Louise and Family,

I am sorry for your loss. Brian was a good family.

It is so hard to believe Brian has passed. He had an amazing memory of everything, family, sports, friends, dates etc. My love goes to his family and many many friends. Sending prayers, love and hugs to you all.

I saw him last year. He was in Three Trees nursing home and I was there with a client. I stopped and talked with him and his wife for a short time. We talked about some of the people we both knew who were working at the Bulletin during the time I worked there. I'm so glad I got to talk with him. Such a nice guy! And he remembered me after all these years! I'm so sorry he is gone. He will be missed.

I worked with Brian for a couple of years when I was on the Bulletin sports staff and he was sports editor of the Groton News, in the '70s. He was a great colleague with a terrific sense of humor. RIP, Brian.
