Bridgette Danielle Meyer, born to this life August 21, 1981 and born to eternal life October 13, 2004, was a centered, strong free spirit with a kind and giving heart. She lit up a room with her sweet smile, sharing her bright, cheerful nature with all who were blessed enough to know her. Bridgette felt grounded and secure in the strength and love of her family. She adored her younger brother, mom and dad. Family was her life. She was very close to her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. An animal lover and rescuer, Bridgette's animal companions Bear, Smokey, Bandit, Midnight and Sebastian were an especially cherished part of her life. Bridgette graduated from Highland High School In Gilbert in 1999 and was to receive her associate's degree at Mesa Community College this December. She worked as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens and planned to start toward her PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Arizona in Tucson next year. Bridgette was an adventurous soul who enjoyed traveling the United States and Europe. She was a talented artist who expressed her soul through throwing clay on the pottery wheel, creating stunning ceramic works of art. She loved music, especially classic rock. Brigitte had a particular love for the music of The Grateful Dead and The Doors. Bridgette will forever live in the hearts of everyone who knew her, especially in the hearts of those who loved her most: parents Anthony and Leslie Meyer, brother Ryan Meyer, grandparents Keith and Grace Meyer, Donald (Joan) Tebay, and Millie Kuehn, aunts and uncles Joseph (Vicki) Meyer, John Meyer, Gina (Mike) Meller, Kim (Donald) Gagne, Jennifer (Chris) Tebay, cousins Rob (Chris) Gagne, Dan Gagne, Melissa Gagne, Kristen (Brian) Gagne and Niko Meller, great aunts and uncles Louise Rodewald, Ellie Caira, and Dolores (Thomas) Lore. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. with service to follow on Monday, October 18, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 7145 East Monterey Avenue in Mesa.
