I was very sad and surprised to learn of Brigitte's death. Her energy seemed inexhausible. Certainly her generosity was. My recent 15 years in New York City would have been immeasurably diminished without the friendship of Brigitte and Jeff. I'm sure I am not alone in that feeling.

I am so sad to hear of Brigitte's passing. She was such a special part of the 8 years that I spent in New York. We spent two or three days a week together for years, mostly working in her office but also sipping coffee, dining on her homemade soup, going to museums and even taking a couple of trips together. She treated me like family and I will miss her very much. All my love to her family.

I just heard of the loss of my dear friend, Brigitte. I will miss her more than I can express. She lived with our family when she first came from Germany, and we were friends ever since. I send my sincere condolences to her family. Ellen Walsh
