As a long time friend of Brittany's mother, I am heartbroken for the families of both Brittany and John. I watched Brittany grow from a sweet beautiful child to a stunningly beautiful, strong, intelligent woman. She never let her deafness keep her from her goals. What a wonderful job her parents did raising her and making a blended family work for her. She was blessed to have not one but two loving homes. She will forever live in my heart.

My heart goes out to Brittany's family as well as my family, the Pager's. John is a wonderful nephew and I enjoyed the few minutes that we spent with Brittany during our last visit home.
