Not sure what to say?

Rick,

What can I say except you were the light of our lives. While at UMass, we all knew who to come to to talk and learn about MUSIC! It had to be you and KRock and then all of the younger brothas and sistas who came with the flava of their particular cities. I have not seen you in many years but know that I will see you again one day in the eternal everlasting. May God bless you and continue to bless your family. We are here for but a short while so make it worth every minute....

Reggie and Family,
I saw your number on my cell phone ID on Tues. the 16th, and had an idea that something had happened. It was late as I was returning from vacation. When I called on the 17th, your Aunt said I needed to call back. I knew for sure that something had happened. It wasn't until I called the radio station that I learned that one of my best friends had crossed over Jordan and into the Promised Land. My physical heart mourns, but my spiritual heart rejoices. What an honor to...

We go back a long time Rick, from our college radio days. You never lost the desire to share good music with the world, and the world appreciated your great taste in America's greatest musical art form, jazz. We have very fond memories of our time spent together creating the New England Jazz Society. It won't be the same without you.

The Grant family,

We too were away when we learned of the passing of Brother Rick. We have soooooooo many good memories of our contacts with Rick dating back 20 years or more.

Our heartfelt blessings are extended to all of those he held close in his heart. He most certainly will be missed.

When i think of Rick, he will be sitting in awe and swaying to the beat of all those idols in that heavenly choir, wearing his trademark ethnic headgear....

I just learned of the passing of your father when I returned from my convention in SC and checked my email.

Although no words can take away the sorrow that you bear,
May it be a comfort to know that others care,
And may the Father of us all, whose mercies never cease,
Sustain you in your hour of need and grant you inner peace.
We love you.

With deepest sympathy.

To the Family of Brother Rick,
Brother Rick will be missed but not forgotten. I remember him as a Jazz enthusiast and music calendar. He always knew who was playing where and if you went you saw Rick there as well.I will always remember his "goooood music to yah".

My deepest sympathy to the family and will continue to keep you in my prayers. Rick I know is at peace with an eternity of Music.

Brother Rick,
We were blessed to meet you over 25 years ago when you were "doing your thing" with the Black Mass Communication Project." Our memories are full of great times and precious moments, as we enjoyed your "Goood music to ya!" We extend our condolences to all who loved you and we are reminded that life is measured by not how many breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away. Peace and God's blessings. The Weekes'

We will miss our cousin's physical presence. Yet we will always hear his smooth sounding voice, see his cool smile and feel his love.

Forever, will we cherish the memories of receiving calls from Rick and Natalie while we were traveling in the car, and if you could have seen his reaction when we suprised him in Las Vegas... wow, that was priceless!

Cousin Rick will be the "Coolest" angel God has ever called home!

With Sincere Love,
