My Grandad is my heart and will always be why it beats. There is a story he told me that I want to share that gives a LITTLE idea about his charachter. He said when he was in the army, they had a twenty mile walk with guns that were about 30 lbs(or more) for training. He saw the soldier next to him struggle as he did and said he had to stop. Uncle Brom was always laughing and playing with the nieces and nephews,before he had children of his own. He was the brother born after my mother, Janice Florine Gibbs Joyner. Mama lovingly called him her oldest brother. He loved Grandmama's ice tea and great cheese biscuits. When we would come to visit as children, I remember him, Gleason, and Ames
washing and working on their cars. In these pass years I would call and we have good conservations. I will miss him.
