CLAPPER, Brooke Lynn - Of Davison, age 49, died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
A Celebration of Brooke’s life will be held at a later date.
Brooke was born in Lansing on November 26, 1968. Brooke was loved by all that knew her.
Surviving are mother, Ellen Clapper Thomas;
stepfather, Paul Thomas; grandfather, Robert R. Clapper, Sr.;
brother, Ramsey Clapper; sister, Shayne Clapper;
aunts and uncles, Linda (Bill) Polk, Ron (Patti) Clapper, Teri (John) Christian and Roger (Grace) Giddings;
nephews, Bobby, Rourke and Rafe;
cousins, Gina, Allison Ryan, Gaylon and Logan.
She was preceded in death by grandmother, Marilyn Giddings, grandfather, Dallas Giddings, grandmother, Marie Clapper and father, Robert R. Clapper Jr.

I'm not sure you will remember our family. My mom and dad, Madeline and Don, had the pleasure of having Brooke in our home for some time. We loved her like she was our own and, after she moved into the group home, I continued to go there to visit her. She will always have a soft spot in my heart because she was one of the most precious first students I had when I was hired in at the GISD. So sorry to hear that she is gone, but I have great pictures and great memories of the fun times we shared.

Ellen, Shayne, and Ramsey - I am so incredibly sorry to hear of Brooke's passing. I have the most vivid memory of meeting Brooke for the first time and another of Shayne walking her to the corner to meet me on one of my many days at your house. I always loved seeing Brooke and have thought of her many times over the years. May she rest in peace and peace be with each of you. So much love to you all!
