Not sure what to say?

I met Brooke only 2 years ago through my father, yet she was a great and positive mentor to me. I am very sorry that I, and the rest of the world, will not be able to learn more from her -- she had so much to share. My condolences to her family.

Just one year ago, Brooke attended the 40th reunion of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business class of 1966. Brooke conducted a truly inspirational session for us on retirement and aging. Her spirit and good humor throughout the weekend will be remembered by her former classmates.

A Passionate Leader and Trailblazer

I "met" Brooke on the phone over 10 years ago when I was starting a San Francisco nonprofit program aimed at strengthening nonprofit boards. Over the years, she became a professional and personal mentor. She brought such passion and commitment to her work, and I'll always be so grateful for the interest she took in mine. I will miss her very, very much.

Brooke Mahoney was an inspiration to all who knew her. I had the privilege of working with her for 11 years and watched her battle with her disease with a great zeal for life. I learned much from her in the years I worked with her, she will be sorely missed by her staff here at the Volunteer Consulting Group/boardnetUSA. My sincere condolences to Norman and family.

I met Brooke in the late 70s/early 80s in Manhattan and realized immediately what an amazing woman she was--talented, engaged fully in LIFE, an absolute dynamo. She was a one-off. I admired her very much and extend my sincere sympathy to her family.

Brooke attended my yoga classes in FIre Island Pines for several years. I did not know here in her business life but she was a great friend nevertheless. Of my many students here I learned the most from her about how precious life is and how not to waste any moment. I will miss her very much. My condolences to Norman and her family.

I got to know Brooke when we were students in the Hamilton College Jr. Year in France program, and we roomed together in Paris for 8 months. Almost every experience I had that year was influenced by Brooke's fearless spirit and sense of adventure. Both served her very well for the remainder of her life.
