BARKER, Brooks Patrick ? Of Flint, age 33, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Catholic Charities.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Brooks was born in Flint, Michigan on June 28, 1981.
Brooks was an avid hockey player in his younger years and was an outstanding goalie. He was currently attending Mott Community College at the time of his passing.
Brooks was preceded in death by his father, Bill Barker; his mother, Kim Walton and his grandfather, Patrick Barker.
Brooks leaves his son, Tyler Patrick Barker of Flint;
his beloved grandmother, Nan Barker of Flint;
grandma Jill of West Branch;
uncle, Kevin Barker of Grand Blanc;
aunt, Rose Derr of Grand Blanc;
sister, Christina Bommarito of Westland;
his girlfriend, Nicole Bates, the love of his life;
many other uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
We had some incredible memories together, I will never forget them!! You will be miss by many who knew and loved you.

Im very sad that Brooks is gone, he was very nice to me. He let me play his video games he made me food and got me treats from the store when i visited my muma. I feel bad my muma is so sad she cries all the time and i wish i could make it stop. I hope Brooks gets to hang out with God and they can play hockey, i talk to God alot so i will ask hime to look out for him. Brooks helped my muma lots and made her real happy,thanks for bei.g nice to me and for lovi.g my muma too, she misses you real...

I am very sorry to see that Brooks passed away. I just saw him and he told me that the both of you going to be taking another class from me next semester. I know that both of you were the love of each others lives. I shall keep both of you in my prayers!!!!!!!!

Im very sad for Brooks being gone, he was always so nice to me when i went to see my muma, he let me play his video game and made me stuff to eat. He would get me treats from the store nd made my muma very happy i will miss him alot. I think he will have fun in heaven and he can play hockey with God i know him and talk to him alot so i will ask him to take care of Brooks for my muma. Im sad for Nan and my muma Nicole i wish i could make the sad time go away for everybody. I will miss u Brooks...
