Dearest Sheri, Guy and Jared,

Needless to say, when we received the phone call on the ship, we were in total shock! We were devastated that we couldn't be there with you. Bruce was a kind, gentle man and a very special friend, and we have fond memories of many wonderful times together.

Although you weren't prepared for his untimely death, you know that God loved him very much to take him home so peacefully. We pray that you will be able to move forward with a happy life,...

Dear Sheri & Family, Jim & I were shocked to hear of your loss. We came to know & love Bruce when he made you so happy & became your friend & husband. We have such lovely memories of the "riverhouse" & your's and Bruce's gracious hospitality & love for each other and all of us.

We will miss him & hope you will allow us to help you begin a new phase of your life. God never gives us more than we can handle & he will help you with this loss. Ask him & he will answer.

Dear Guy: David and I were saddened to learn of the loss of Bruce. We had a good conversation with Bruce at the Wedding. We actually spoke about the pet Owl. I was always amazed that he was able to train something from the woods that he seemed to love so much. You learned a lot from him, and what you learned you will always have.
