Bruce Robert Baetzel

Bruce was my first cousin and have many many fond memories of our youth together on our family farm in Ottumwa, Iowa. Time passes way to quickly.o

Seeing this brings back memories of Bruce through the years. May you always enjoy your memories and share them with each other.

Bruce called me several months ago to share his new address in Roosevelt Park... and we figured out it was the same house I lived in as a child! It was so good to talk to him. He was a good friend in our youth. We reconnected in Sarasota decades later. We visited his mom, Mary, in hospital. Bruce told me in recent years that while his actions did not always provide the results he looked for, his intentions were always good. His happy, huge heart will be with everyone he loved forever. Many prayers of comfort. Your Dad gave me my first full time job during a couple of my college summers. It was the first two years you owned South Shore and we spent a lot of time cleaning, repairing and building that first year. We also built sea walls. Many, many great memories and lots of laughter!

We shared many years as "next door" neighbors during the summer, and continued as friends in the neighborhood. Good memories remain!

I graduated with Bruce from HS, but have not lived in MI since then. I can still picture him with his oh so blonde hair and a perpetual smile on his face. It seems that did not change over the last 47+ years.
