I met Bruce in 1983 in the very early days of minspeak and semantic compaction.
One time when I called him to introduce a v r client to him he rephrased what I was trying to say. Oh youre looking for a way to extend his ability to communicate
I never forgot that.
He instantly changed my entire approach to how I worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. A brilliant mind.

Bruce was an excellent and serious student. We were in Lois Elderage's U.S. History class together in the 11th grade. I liked him a lot and respected him greatly. Bruce was very intelligent; yet, he was cordial and patient with others. I shall miss him. I'm not at all surprised by his terrific achievements.

My condolences to his family and community. It is always a great loss to lose such a brilliant mind! We went to High School together and everyone knew he was the smartest person in our graduating class. He truly filled his life's mission. Vicktoria Hizer-Rizvi

Bruce Baker was a generous, intelligent, compassionate human being. I was blessed to have the opportunity to associate with Bruce at various conferences, schools, workshops, and trainings. He was a truly unique individual. Our world lost a great humanitarian! His spirit will live on in the countess lives he touched!

Bruce was my Latin teacher in high school, well before Minspeak. He was an engaging teacher, dedicating to broadening his students worldview, a goal at which he was successful. Later on, when he needed some help with computers to make a prototype Minspeak, Kenneth and I were glad to help (Kenneth developed the Votrax interface while I wrote the software for the AIM-65 prototype). I have been glad to see the help that Bruces concept has given to the world. Being a friend of the family, Bruce...

He was a great man. I wouldn't have had the opportunities in my life without Bruce and Unity software.
