Not sure what to say?

Oh my. It’s far too soon to be writing about the passing of this dear man.

I’ve spent the evening reading his obituaries in newspapers throughout Oregon. It’s not surprising to be reading such loving comments from friends and family.

Bruce was a great man and a treasured friend. He had such a terrific sense of humor, playfulness, and fun; he was so friendly and caring. He was such a hard worker. I knew him as the kind of man who would unerringly do the right...

Bruce was a true gentleman cowboy. A kind & gentle soul, his heart knew no bounds for those he cared about. I believe all who knew him were grateful for his friendship. Honesty, compassion & integrity along with humor & a smile that put you at ease made him a great friend, son, husband, father & grandfather...God bless you Bruce & Marilyn, both of you will always be in my heart, thoughts & prayers...

Bruce was a kindred soul that grew on you. From the first time l met him until he retired, (l was upset as l recall, it was before me) a true friend. He told me to come to the 'ranch' in sisters anytime to visit. From the early 90's l delivered equipment to the SUB yard and jobsites. lt got to where all he had to say, 'this foreman...this site, call if you need me'. What a pal/lots of stories. lt reminds me of a saying,'Never shirked a task, a friend in all weather, a pleasure to be with'.

Bruce will always remain one of my favorite Elmira High School classmates. We will remember him as an outdoorsman, a military veteran, a cowboy, and a super good friend. His memory will live on in the stories we will relive.

Bruce was a giant of a man; he was as kind as he was strong. He was a coworker and a friend. My condolences and love to Marilyn and his family.

To Marilyn and family. So sorry for your loss. From my short time at SUB, saw a lot of Bruce, mainly because I worked in Accounting Dept with Marilyn. But still, he was a good, friendly decent man; and I remember him fondly. Marilyn I hope you're doing well enough. Take Care - Pat Ventura
