May God bless you and your...
I just heard that Bruce had left us. I am so sorry for you. I have very fond memories of Bruce - and Jean and 86th Terrace. Bruce was one of the nicest people I have known.

Bruce James Barry, 60, Belton, MO, passed away suddenly December 2, 2002, at Research Belton Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2002, at Christ the King Church, 8510 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO, where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Church Building Fund. Bruce was a member of Christ the King Church and attended Hogan High School. He was an owner operator employed by Landstar Ranger for many years. Bruce's job had taken him to 47 of the lower 48 states. Last year he had made a run to Alaska, a trip he had long wanted to make. He had received many safe driving awards from the company in the course of his employment. Bruce had also worked at Safeway Foods and KU Medical Center. Although wild and rowdy in his younger years Bruce was grateful to have had 18 years of Sobriety with the help of a higher power and AA. He loved his old Harley and going to Sturgis every year where he was surrounded by free spirits like himself. The saying "looks are deceiving" fit Bruce to a T. Under that long hair and worn clothes was a man of care and compassion. He knew no strangers. Whether a casual meeting or a long conversation, you knew you had met one heck of a nice guy. Bruce was preceded in death by his father and mother, William L. and Jeanne Barry. He leaves brothers, Mike Barry and wife, Sharon of Braymer, MO, Craig Barry and wife, Dana, Kansas City, MO and Leo Barry, Greenwood, MO; eight nephews and one niece; many cousins (also formerly wild and rowdy), aunts, uncles and numerous friends. He will be greatly missed. (Arrangements: Muehlebach Funeral Home (816) 444-2060)

Buck was one of my cousins I always looked up to. He and his brothers always made us laugh when we would visit. I have fond memories of our trips to K.C.
Now my own children have had the joy of knowing Bruce because he always called when ever he was out here in California. We all will miss our cousin "Uncle Buck" Bruce Barry
