Bruce Allen Benson

To the family of Commander Benson,
I had the pleasure of meeting this great man when I was a student at Bishop Heelan. He took us on field trips to San Diego and Norfolk to visit the Navy bases. He along with CPO Davis and taught us basic naval skills and military discipline. He was always friendly and very good at educating us. He conducted himself with dignity and grace and was a great counterbalance to CPO Davis, who I also enjoyed learning from. Thank you commander for your service...

Papa I will miss you dearly. We were blessed to have you in our lives this long. It breaks my heart that you are gone but I am comforted in knowing that you are now in a better place with no pain or suffering. I will hold dearly onto the memories I have of you. I love and miss you.

There are so many things I have wanted to ask you, so many questions about your life. I never had the chance to sit and really talk to you as an adult.
I have so many great memories of you, I don't know anyone else who's grandpa went roller skating, or played tag.(scar face) :o)
I have so many regrets from the last few years, not visiting more. So many things that I wasn't able to tell you. I am thankful I was able to see you one last...
