Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for the family's loss.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. He was such a pleasure to work with because he never took himself too seriously. He always had a story about the girls. It was such a blessing to hear a man speak so lovingly about his wife. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

District 9, IAMAW extends our sympathy to the Benson family. The union considered Bruce a true friend of labor. He always negotiated fairly and worked well with the IAM members at the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Rest in peace.

Bruce was one of the best to work with at the Post-Dispatch. Many good people we had to lay off together over the years. We cried together and anytime Bruce thought it was difficult for me, he handled. You had one of the hardest jobs in the company! You're the best Bruce, may you rest in peace. All my prayers to Julie and the girls.

Rest in Peace old friend

Bruce my friend I'm going to miss you we should have had that beer a couple of months ago. Ill never forget you even though you liked the Cowboys. It was an honor to work with you and know you, catch you on the other side buddy. I'm so sorry Julie he loved you and the girls.

I can't express enough how saddened I was to hear of the passing of our dear friend Bruce. "Doc" was such a great person to work with at the Post. He spoke so highly of his wife Julie and his girls. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Rest in peace Doc. You were definitely one of the good guys.

My condolences to the family. God gives us a hope of everlasting life that can sustain you.
John 17:3

Bruce had a great personality and a gift to work with all of the people and unique personalities at the newspaper. Since he worked in the Labor Relations department, as a manager, I would have to discuss personnel issues from time to time with Bruce. He always had time for a laugh, to chat or discuss beer can collecting, that we both had a passion for. Bruce always spoke fondly of his wife Julie and his daughters. We would share family stories from time to time. Bruce Benson was a great man,...
