My father enjoyed your conpany and friendship. I met you at the Sante Fe opera, and Chicago. I'm sorry to learn of your passing. Blessings to you and your family. Jeffrey Mudgett son of Howard Mudgett

Bruce and I served together aboard the USS Calvert (APA-32) in 1965 during the Viet Nam war. It was a real pleasure to know him!

Tina,
My deepest condolences. I happened upon the notice about Bruce in the February 19th Passages section of The Seattle Times. I just saw it recently--and wrote to Peggy Somoza. I have been thinking about you and Bruce ever since. He was such a gracious, modest and lovely man. I remember how he let you and me do all the talking at our get-togethers in Oakland.

Now that I have read about his many professional accomplishments I am in awe of his remarkable achievements. I...

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Bruce Blackburn. I first met Bruce during my internship at Chermayeff & Geismar as staff photographer while I attended School of Visual Arts. Bruce and I were high school classmates and very good friends in Evansville. He was the source of a long lost knickname about my hair! We had a strong mutual interest in music. Although I have not seen him for many years, I regret the loss of a friend and a wonderful person.

So sorry to hear this...Bruce and Tina were church friends when we all lived in Weston, CT many moons ago...such a great guy with a quirky sense of humor...thinking of Tina and your entire family...

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I am very sorry to hear the sad news of Bruce Backburn's passing. I worked for Danne & Blackburn for many years in the late 70's to mid 80's as their Office Manager. It was my first job in Manhattan and I felt very lucky to work for such an iconic firm. D&B was in the thick of the NASA identity program, and I remember the first mock-up of the Space Shuttle in our office. What a thrill. I loved working for this renowned firm and to this day, consider it one of the greatest successes of my...
