Bruce was born on June 21, 1943 and passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Bruce was a resident of Wakefield, Rhode Island at the time of his passing. He graduated from Tolman High School in 1962. He went on to graduate from Florida State University in 1966 with a degree in Recreation Management. He was married to Lynn. Visitation hours to which family and friends are invited to attend will be held on Sunday from 2:00-6:00pm. Funeral Services and Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Bruce Calvert Scholarship Fund. Checks should be payable to Cumberland High School CO Bruce Calvert Scholarship Fund 2600 Mendon Road Cumberland RI 02864.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bruce was a special person, my swim coach. I am sure he played a part in me becoming the person I am today. I am thankful and know how fortunate I am that he was in my life. Children today need people like Bruce more than ever. God Bless you

Bruce was an awesome mentor and coach. Even as an adult always took the time to talk and chat at CHS or the Friday night swim. more than anything a great human being.
