PENN YAN - I left this world on January 6, 2013. I was born in Penn Yan, N.Y., in 1943, and the son of Henry K. and Eva M. Charlsen. Both are deceased but I hope to see them again. Not sure what to say?

My goodness I can't believe it has been so long since Bruce left us. I will always remember how he had a chance to enjoy his grandchildren

To Edna, Colleen, Betty and Bruce`s kids and grandkids,
We share your sorrow and memories even if Howard and I are 3000 miles away. Bruce has been very much in our prayers and thoughts through his long struggle and pain. I am glad that he is no longer suffering.Prostate cancer is a terrible thing. We have many that we know personally who have it right now. Dear Edna, Marilyn and Colleen,
I'm so sorry to read of Bruce's death. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Alma Lambert LaBour

I so miss the updates Bruce would give on face book about what a wonderful time he had for the days he moved in with his son. It was like he lived his life to the fullest for a short time. My sincerest sympathy to his family. a class mate Paula Newland Adwell

You fought a good fight to the end. You were an inspiration to many people with your courage. You will be missed but not forgotten.

Words really can not tell how I feel. He never gave up the fight and I admire him for that. Prayers to all of his family for their loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a very nice man with a good heart. I will pray for your family.

Prayers to the family. So sad to hear of Bruce's passing.

Our sincere condolences to Tammy, Mike, Todd, Edna, Marilyn, and Colleen. Bruce was more like an older brother to me than a first cousin, since neither of us grew up with a brother, just wonderful sisters. He had a huge influence on many parts of my life - - ‘inadvertently' (?) initiating my lifelong interest in hot rods and racing with his '37 Ford coupe (like the one shown); my serving in the Air Force like him, instead of the Army when I got my draft notice; and my summer weeks on the...
