Not sure what to say?

Bruce and I served together in Vietnam in 1967. He was a Major and the maintenance officer of HMM-164. A good man and an outstanding Marine. I was fortunate to have seen him at an commemorative event at MCAS Miramar several years ago. My condolences to his family. Semper Fidelis

It was a privilege to call this extraordinary man my Pappy and to grow up knowing him and Mammy (Jean) as our grandparents. We had not kept in contact in recent years, but I always cherished the time spent and memories made knowing them as such. Uncle Chris, Aunt Cathy and family, I offer my heartfelt condolences for the loss Pappy, but I am certain that him and Mammy are together, happy and enjoying their well-deserved afterlife. All my love and condolences, Wendy Herndon (Kapera)

Bruce's career as a military aviator was a key motivator and example to me personally to also become a career military aviator, which I did in a 24 year career as an Air Force fighter pilot.

It has been my privilege and honor to know Bruce and Jean from my childhood. Our families camped together, had fish fries at his brother Nick's and my Dad was named after his father. Dad enjoyed going to St. Louis Cardinal games frequently with Bruce and Jean. A great man and distinguished career. He will be missed.

I'm going to miss Bruce, he was a good friend. I'm so grateful to have been able to see him in Reno a few months ago. My most sincere condolences to his family. He was a great man and will always be one of my Heroes.
