Bruce L. Conklin, 93, of New Milford, PA, entered his eternal rest on Saturday, May 11, 2019, after a brief illness. He was born in Auburn Twp., PA to the late Leroy B. and Eva J. (Glossinger) Conklin. His wife of 70 years, Edith M. (Stevens) Conklin, survives.
Also surviving are his son, David Conklin, daughter and son-in-law, Bonny and John Onyon, 11 grandchildren, Jared Conklin, Mike (Michelle) Conklin, Jennifer Conklin, Sarah Conklin, Andrew Onyon, Katie Onyon, Abigail (Nicholas) Cook, Aaron (Ashley) Onyon, Jonathan Onyon, Eric (Ashley) Onyon, Mitchell (Leslie) Conklin, 13 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Betty Conklin, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, three sons, Garry, Roger and Mark Conklin, a grandson, Bradley Conklin, two brothers, Russell and Charles Conklin, four sisters, Betty Fisher, Georgia Jennings, Carol Hardic, and Shirley Carey.
Bruce liked to farm, and he farmed his entire life. He also operated multiple gas stations. After the gas stations, he went into the horse business, he drove carriages for weddings, parades and funerals. Bruce was an original member of the South New Milford Baptist Church, and, he was a thoughtful and generous person.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Thomas officiating. Interment will be in the New Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-12 prior to the service.
Donations in Bruce’s name can be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes Barre, PA 18702.

Bruce you will be missed by your cousins from Wyoming. I am thankful for our opportunity to meet you in person. I also remember hearing about visits with you by my Mother Carrie Stevens and when other family members visited with you. Edith, we send you our condolences and lots of hugs for you and the whole family. May you find peace.

How we will miss his sweet smile...Bruce and Edith were always able to make life a little more fun for others. I remember vividly our youth group trip to the lake, and trying to learn to water ski with him at the helm of the boat. Did I mention he was also VERY patient? He and Edith contributed so much time and effort to the Harford Fair goings-on with their horses and carriage collection, not to mention adding warm color with the horses to parades and weddings and trail rides... And he...
