Bruce Allen Gore, Sr. Of Amherstdale, WV Bruce Allen Gore, Sr., 65, of Amherstdale, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017, leaving from Dignity Hospice House at Chapmanville, after a long illness. He was born September 29, 1951, at Holden, a son of the late Arnold and Francis Muncy Gore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dewey and Louise Muncy; paternal grandparents, Albert and Dicie Gore; sister, Dicie Baker and her husband, Homer Baker; sister-in-law, Brenda Gore; and niece, Cristi Baker. Bruce was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict who served from 1968 until 1972. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling. Devoted to his family, Bruce was a loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather, and a caring neighbor. When Bruce experienced the Lord he was a totally changed man. His whole outlook on life changed. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Tonya Tudor Gore; four children, Justin (Susan) Gore of Oak Hill, Jason (Bethany) Gore of Raeford, NC, Bruce (Kelly) Gore, Jr. of Logan, and Victoria (Gary Thomas) Gore of Logan; his chosen sons of his heart, Dereck (Heather) Thomas and Eric (Amanda) Thomas; sister, Amy (Berbin) Townsend of Logan; brothers, Arnold (Myong) Gore, Jr. of VA, Dewey Gore, Sr. of Logan, Walter (Hope) Gore of Madison, and Jeff (Tracey) Gore of Accoville; his chosen sisters of the heart, Sharon Kinder of Logan and Melinda (Scott) McDonald of Amherstdale; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and the love of his life his Siberian Husky fur baby, Sasha along with a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where a funeral service will be held at 8 pm with Rev. P.J. Tomblin and Rev. Walter Gore officiating. Military Honors will start at 6 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home conducted by the Wyoming County Honor Guard. After services, at Bruce's request his remains will be cremated.
