Not sure what to say?

To my daddy,
You were like a rock. We always knew you were a phone call away to help with any problem life would send us.
You worked so hard to provide for us growing up, and never stopped giving.
I will miss our phone calls and picnic table chats. I will miss your quick wit and dumb jokes. Most of all, I will miss you, daddy.
~your youngest daughter Barb

Hi Dad,
We had your memorial this weekend and just like I promised, you had the military service with the rifle salute. We've heard from a lot of people that your memorial celebration of life was the perfect way to say our goodbyes. I choked up when the rifles went off and bawled all over brother Jim when the taps were played by the Naval Reserve Buglist. Watching Sandy getting presented with the flag and the military salute to the flag just topped the whole thing.
We figured on...

To all of Uncle Bruce's family and loved ones.....what a wonderful memorial for a wonderful kind and gentle man. My deepest sympathy and love to all.
Patti Blanott (Aunt Dawn's daughter)

Bruce was a wonderul father to Sandy, Jim, Kathy and Barb, a loving grandfather to their children, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle but he was also the great true love in my mother Rosemary's life. She adored him and he her, like no other love I have ever seen. He started out as "uncle" to me at 15 and it didn't take long before he became my dad, also. He was at my side walking me down the isle, at the birth of my 3 boys. He was at my side during my husband illness with cancer and...

My Brother Bruce was always my mentor. His kindness shown to me as a little sister, sharing his time and love when I needed it the most.Always caring and loving, like the days before he pasted, worrying I might get cold sitting with him at the picnic table and weakly walking to his car to get me his jacket, little did he know I was warm just being in his presence. Thank you my brother for your love and being able to share in the lives of your sweet children, until we meet again.

I am so sorry, I forgot to mention Bruce's favorite lady, Rosie. They have been together for 35 years and had a very rewarding relationship. I know Rose will miss him dearly but remember Rose, you have all the wonderful memories stored in your heart. Love, Sue

Bruce was my big brother. We have always been a close family of 9 siblings and now Bruce is the 3rd one to leave us. It was so nice to be with him and enjoy his humor for these last few months, My heart goes out to all his children, Sandy, James, Kathy and Barb, We love you kids a lot and will be here for you, Love, Aunt Sue and Uncle Jerry.
