Dr. Bruce King Johnson

What a blessing Dr. Johnson was to me and my family during my mother's illness and death in 1983. Thank you, Dr. Johnson.

I was a Freshman at Birmingham-Southern when Bruce was an upper classman. He was the director of the marching band in 1939, which was BSC'c last year of football, in that era. I was a trombonist in that band, which Bruce conducted expertly. Although I had not seen Bruce in many years, I remember him as a very high class, friendly gentleman, who was always willing to assist the younger students. May he rest in peace with God in Heaven.

Dr. Johnson was my Mother's doctor for many years. She thought he was the best doctor in the world. When he sent to Dr. Rusky at UAB for dialysis in the early 70's he was a great doctor also. My family is most appreciative of the care given to our Mother, Inez Fortenberry by Dr. Johnson and are sorry to hear of his passing.
