I will always remember Bruce as a kind, gentle soul. I'm sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. I, too, served in Algeria 1963-65 at Henchir Toumghani on the farm. Every Sat night we cranked two batches of delicious ice-cream using the milk from the cows Bruce cared for. He was a conscientious worker and was instrumental in seeing that many poor farmers worked and got a first calf heifer. He cared about the Algerian people and our MCC PAX program. I enjoyed working with Bruce and learning to know him during our two years together.
