Dear Kate and family, Bruce was my closest friend as we grew up together on Warrington Drive. Three of us in succession--Stuart Spector, Bruce, and I--were presidents of our very dubious high school fraternity. But Bruce was so successful and cool in high school that we grew apart. Dear Katie, Bruce and I were fraternity brothers (same pledge class). I remember him as a wonderful young man with many of the estimable qualities mentioned in his obituary foreshadowed in those early years. His sincerity, wit and humility were on display. Kate--although it's been years and years since I saw Bruce, he was my friend and neighbor from our youth all the way through college. He was a special friend and special guy. I am quite saddened by the news.
