Bruce was born on July 8, 1951 and passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019. Bruce was an Army veteran of Viet Nam, serving two tours, and was awarded the Bronze Star for valor. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 Noon at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.

I met Bruce somewhere around 1999/2000 when Castle Keep in Aurora, IL was still around. Something about Bruce as a reenactor I always appreciated and respected was you could take a mainstream and a hardcore reenactor and Bruce could see how those to ideas of reenacting could coexist at an event, and he would strive to find a compromise, there's was room for all.
For Bruce I felt it was about the end goal of honoring and remembering our Veterans.
