A retired police officer of the City of Philadelphia, he is the beloved husband of Lynn (nee Manion), devoted father of Katelyn and Kristin, loving brother of Carol Murphy (Kevin); also survived by his brother in law James Manion (Nancy), his nieces Claire, Shannon, Megan, and his nephews Kirk, James, and Kevin. Son of the late Francis and Claire Mays.
Relatives, friends, and employees of the PA Board of Probation and Parole are invited to his viewing Saturday 8 to 10 AM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM, St. Christopher Church. Interment is Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to FOP Survivors Fund, 11630 Caroline Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154, in his memory would be appreciated.

Sorry for your loss! I just learned of the passing of Bruce today by a fellow coworker. I was very saddened to hear the news of him passing on into eternity. Bruce was an awesome man! He was a great supervisor at PA Board of Probation and Parole. He was by far the best supervisor ever and will always be remembered for his humor and genuine kindness. Continued prayers for the family.
