Bruce Meckler was a pioneer in legal fee analysis and a founding member of NALFA. He help shape, develop, and draft Best Practices in Legal Fee Analysis. He was one of the nation's top attorney fee experts. We appreciated his support and membership in NALFA.

Bruce attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. We were members of the Zeta Phi Chapter, Sigma Nu fraternity from 1973-1977. I recall Bruce playing all the major sports for Sigma Nu. He was as passionate about sports; always performing at his best. I remember one fraternity football game, Bruce was playing defensive lineman. He dislocated three fingers during a play. He came out and when we suggested that he go to the hospital, he refused and went back into play; deformed fingers and...

I shall never forget our trip to Little Rock Arkansas in a small King Air prop plane to pick up two puppies and fly them back to Chicago. Bruce was a good friend and partner and a spirited advocate who will be missed.

as a cousin, i have many fond memories of playing in my grandmother's basement and celebrating important family events with bruce....so sad...my heart goes out to his family and friends

I just wanted to express my condolences to Bruce's family and share a few memories that I have of Bruce. Bruce and I went to high school together at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring ,Maryland before his family moved away to Chicago. Bruce was particularly close with my closest friend, Jeff Cohen, which resulted in my spending a lot of time driving around with Bruce and Jeff in Bruce's very cool silver Chevy Camaro.
