Not sure what to say?

Hello Fran,

A friend of mine just shared the sad news. I had a chance to work with Bruce at Cisco and always perceived of him as very smart & witty personality and one who enjoyed nature to the best of his abilities. Bruce was truly one of very few people who understood the priorities in life. May his wonderful memories give you and the family the strength to carry forward.

My heart is heavy for Bruce's passing. I worked with Bruce at Georgia-Pacific in both Portland and Atlanta. Georgia-Pacific was my first IT job after getting out of school, and Bruce was always willing to mentor me along, regardless of the topic. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Fran, and your children, during this difficult time.

Fran: I'm so sorry to read about Bruce's passing! My heart goes out to you and your children. Bruce was such a great guy. A wonderful colleague and a friend to his co-workers. I admired his ingenuity and his wisdom.
Best, Nina Price

Deep condolences to Bruce's friends and family. Bruce is remembered well by all who had benefit of his expertise, patience and wit.
--John Miller, ex-GP Atlanta

What a loss. "Moon" was the only person I ever met that I could truly say was a genius. At the same time, I know of few men more modest. He also drank more coffee than anyone else I ever knew. It was a privilege to work with him for several years at Georgia-Pacific's Portland headquarters.

Bruce was an Eagle Scout and received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy.

My sincere condolences to Fran and Bruce's children - your dad was one cool dude!

Fran - I am sorry for your loss. Bruce was many things to me as I came into my own with technology. I worked with him at Cisco and during that time he assisted me and many others with his inteligence as well as understanding. He will be missed. --Kurt Schmidt

I was quite saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. We worked together for several years at Cisco in the NUBU TME group. Bruce epitomized 'quiet competence' and had a very dry wit even when things were going sideways (as they frequently did). My condolences to his family and friends.

Fran, Andrew and Emily: Your old Stone Mountain neighbor/ex-G-P coworker Mike Beckmeyer here. Rick Spraycar just called me with the news. My whole heart goes out to the three of you. I loved Bruce so much, as he was not only a trusted, dedicated wise (older) brother to me during our time together at G-P, but he also certainly knew how to party with all of us (when it was appropriate!). We hadn't spoken for a few years - but he was and will continue to be - in a special place in my heart...

So sorry to hear about Bruce! He was such a good friend and great co-worker!!! Scott & Mandy Dysart
