Mr. Bruce ?Wayne? Myrick of 106 St. Mathew Street, Petersburg, Va., departed this life on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va., at the age of 61.
Wayne was born December 2, 1952 to the late Elizabeth V. Myrick and Bennie Taylor. He graduated from Job Corp., as a Master Mechanic. Wayne loved working on cars, going to drag races, and he also loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends.
Mr. Myrick is survived by two sons, Dwayne and De?Marcus Balthrop; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Ty?Aisa, De?Lazagh, and De?Mari Balthrop, Ja?Mari, Sha?Niya and Sa?Niya White all of Petersburg, Va.; two brothers, Dozier Myrick (Mildred) and George Myrick; three sisters, Ernestine and Cheryl Myrick and Scarlette Hunley all of Chesapeake, Va; one devoted aunt, Roberta Granderson (Randolph) of Prince George, Va.; devoted friends, Calvin Newson, Tyron Graves, and Darlene Balthrop (mother of his children), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services for Mr. Bruce Myrick will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Third Baptist Church, 550 Farmer Street, Petersburg, Va., Rev. Leroy A. Cherry, Pastor. Interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
