Not sure what to say?

I have known Bruce since pre-K and our families have been friends for 60 years. This may seem silly, but I actually dreamed of Bruce last night. He was here in Costa Rica, where he and Julie honeymooned so many years ago. My heart goes out to his wife, son, brothers and parents. Bruce is dearly missed.

Bruce was my best friend. I never looked up to anyone more in my life. I was with Bruce every day of my childhood. I can almost taste his mom's banana bread cooling on the kitchen table. I can see Bruce in the living room playing pong on the tv. The pool, the trampoline, the basketball court, the woods, the orange grove, the orange fights, the creek, the forts, soccer in the Hanken's yard, replanting all the Christmas trees to save them, Maitland Soccer Club, Rush concerts in Lakeland with...

Bruce was my childhood friend and neighbor. We met in 1970 when his parents bought a house that was catty-corner to my childhood home. It was a thirty-second walk from my front door to his garage door which was the entry point for all kids going to the Nofsinger home. I was about six years old when I met Bruce who was two years younger than I. I think my mother took me to the Nofsinger home to meet the new kid on the block. We became immediate friends and played together for...

Today, I had the privilege of watching Bruce´s livestream memorial service!! My best memory of Bruce is snow skiing in Colorado (the dental group´s annual "meeting" ski trip (I was the oldest of the group of kids and in charge), and led the kids thru trees, which ended up one day, with my brother, Michael (Bruce´s childhood friend) dangling over the edge of a small Clift, while Bruce and I tried to lift him up! We decided the only way to get him up was for him to kick off his skies and then...

Single Memorial Tree

My condolences to Bruce´s family. I met Bruce when he was a counselor at Eagles Nest Camp. My older siblings were friends of his, and he stayed with my family for a little awhile. He taught me about Pink Floyd, The Who. He play would have me sing along with him. Good times! He was such a soul and will be deeply missed.

Bruce was always in a class by himself. I was blessed to be both a childhood friend of and to attend Eagle's Nest Camp with Bruce. The Nofsinger family home was one the central locations in Maitland where countless neighborhood children gathered, played games and made the type of childhood memories that you only see in movies like Stand by Me. If you grew up in our Florida neighborhood, you grew up at a time when the rule was that the kids had to be home when the street lights came on,...

We will miss you Bruce Love, Ann and Doug

The adoration of nature and passion to be an exemplary steward of what we were blessed with, were the main common ground we shared with Bruce. We admired his courage and zest for life til the end. Much love, Dunc & Kathy
