i will remember bruce for his jeopardy appearances

Bruce and I grew up only three blocks apart in Indianapolis. I knew Bruce in elementary school but got to know him much better in high school. Bruce was utterly brilliant. He was a bit shy until he got to high school and then his personality and popularity quickly blossomed. We used to listen to opera together in his basement. Bruce and I worked together at WIAN, the Indianapolis Public Schools radio station located in Shortridge High School. One night, after we concluded the broadcast, we went to join friends for dinner. It was raining hard and the car began to leak from the roof. During the short trip, we (mostly Bruce) composed an opera: "Domine, il pluet ici." I sing it to this day. Bruce was a kind and gentle friend. He will not be forgotten.
