Not sure what to say?

as time passes I reflect on how fortunate I was to have Bruce as a mentor. From coffee in Stone Hall to a beer after tennis, I received so much from him; humor, compassion, and a love of learning.....Thank you Bruce

Buce taught me to find value in everyone you meet and always be kind.

Through our friendship with Jamie, and Mark, we were privileged to get to know Bruce and Carol. We always enjoyed socializing with Bruce, in Dothan as well as Florida and even New York City. We hold many fond memories of him. Our loving thoughts to Carol and her family. Kathy and Hugh Holloway

Carol....
I will always treasure those times when Bruce was ACA President and I was on staff and had the opportunity to learn from his knowledge and experiences. He was a "leader" of the counseling profession in every sense of the word.
Frank Burtnett, Ed.D.

Dear Shertzer Family:

On behalf of the leadership and staff of the American Counseling Association, we mourn the loss of Bruce and will keep his loving family and friends in our thoughts. He contributed so much to the association and we are grateful for his service as an outstanding volunteer leader.

Regards,
Richard Yep, CEO
American Counseling Association

Carol and family, my heart holds you on this journey. I was a graduate student in Bruce's department 1979-1981 and his leadership was deeply felt by all of us. And as I made my way in the world, his influence stayed with me. He was highly regarded by the faculty and staff, loved by his students and he had great impact on our field. What a legacy. Warm thoughts to all of you, Teresa Roche

Dear Carol and family, I will miss Bruce very much. He was one of my favorite uncles. He was quick witted, a really nice person all around. He was always truly interested in my life and family. I loved him as a person and an uncle.

Bruce was my major professor, tennis instructor and mentor. He touched multiple lives with grace, insight, and compassion. My blessing to Carol, Mark and Sara and their loved ones. I enjoyed being in their backyard on Saturday mornings after tennis. My life changed for the better due to Bruce!!! John E. Lovell, Ph.D

Carol and family,
My association with Bruce was two fold:
one, he was an awesome bridge player and two, he was so welcoming as I joined Purdue Reiirees....

A real gentle-man.......and I know many people will miss him greatly.

With love,
Sandy Komasinski
