Not sure what to say?

Our Family has been very Blessed to have known The Strade Family for over 45 years. Bruce, Kathy and their three incredible children have been a big part of our lives. Bruce graciously performed the Wedding of our oldest Son and his beautiful wife, which was very special. We have so many wonderful memories to cherish from our Friendship. Bruce was a kind wonderful person who was loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Bruce and I were roommates at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. We visited in one another´s homes in Sheboygan and San Diego. He became acquainted with my wife, Karen, and was a groomsman for our wedding in 1964. Our paths separated as we each raised families, but connected many years later when we visited our granddaughter at the University of Portland. We regretted that we never had the privilege of meeting Kathy, but enjoyed reconnecting with Bruce. We shall never forget him and will truly...

So sorry to hear if Bruce's passing. You have in laws and outlaws. Bruce and Kathy were our outlaws. They were not treated to us but we loved them like family. They will be missed but will never be forgotten. Sorry I will not be able to attend Bruce's funeral. RIP Bruce. Annie Greer

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Bruce was Dean at Concordia, Portland when I attended - 1968-69. Over the years he became a colleague and a friend. He was one of the people who helped form me as a Pastor.

I worked closely with Bruce when he served as Executive Director of Lutheran Family Services in my role with Catholic Charities of Oregon. I always enjoyed working with Bruce and deeply appreciated his intelligence, wit and commitment to justice for the poor and marginalized, especially refugees and immigrants. May God grant him eternal rest and consolation to his family and friends.
