Bruce Porter Sutherland

Bruce, It is interesting that two little first graders, from Wenatchee Heights and Squillchuck, schooled in a one room school house with six grades, and then three years of Mr. Helm's agriculture class had such interesting, challenging and rewarding career's. Careers that touched and helped so many.. However, Bruce had much more excitement.

So sorry about Bruce. He was a special individual. We both grew up in Wenatchee. He on the Heights and I on Sunnyslope. We had classes together at WHS, then two years at WVC, plus one year in the dorm at UW. He and Bob shared one room and Zeke and I another. Fond memories of those times.

I remember he came to the WHS Class of 52 Reunion and made a donation to our Scholarship drive. Unfortunately, that was the last time our paths crossed.
